Hooray for me…I actually accomplished many things today…All the schoolwork with all 3 kids got finished before dinner time…All 3 kids finished all their chores before 9 in the evening…I made a few phone calls and cleaned…Had a sit down dinner tonight including a dessert…Hubby got to go to work with family today…
Remember when I wrote about my oldest son wanting to spend time with me…Nothing really occurred to me for us to spend time together in the house…Then, my oldest son came to me and told me he was bored…I asked him if he wanted to make brownies with me…He really didn’t want to…Cooking isn’t his thing…Then, it just came flying out of my mouth…”We can spend time together cooking and/or cleaning”…He agreed to bake brownies…Then, a thought occurred to me…Most of my days are spent cooking and cleaning…So, why not make it work for time together with my kids…
Yes, I do want to encourage my child’s other interests but for the time and moment, I was left without any other choice but to do some baking…I was already in the middle of cleaning the kitchen and preparing dinner…His brownies turned out delicious…He put peanut butter chips in them…Yummy, Yum, Yum…
Thank You God for even the simplest of times to create memories and get to know my son more…Thank You God for work today for my hubby…Thank You God for having an accomplishing day…Thank You God for continuing to give me strength to work on being an awesome mother and wife…
